Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra Vs Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Will it be worth the upgrade?

Two of the Samsung flagships that came out four years after one other include the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, released in 2025, and as far back as 2021, there was the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. These are top-class in their generations but show drastic differences between each other in regards to design upgrade, performance upgrade, camera upgrade, and upgrade on battery life in the Samsung S25 Ultra.

It has a slightly more compact and refined body with lighter weight than the S21 Ultra. Added also is the Gorilla Glass Armor that will be used to give strength for more protection. Its display remains one of its selling points, where the S25 Ultra uses Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X. The panel can now go as bright as 2600 nits, far more than the 1500 nits the S21 Ultra could only achieve.

Performance-wise, the S25 Ultra packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm) chipset, making it a much better device when it comes to processing power and efficiency as compared to the Exynos 2100 (5nm) used in the S21 Ultra. The new model has Android 15 with One UI 7 running on it. This promises that the device runs much smoother with longer software support. It possesses the Adreno 830 GPU, which, in comparison with the Mali-G78 MP14 GPU on S21 Ultra, makes the performance of gaming much better and better graphics rendering. The camera system of the S25 Ultra is significantly upgraded to contain a 200 MP main sensor, compared to 108 MP for the S21 Ultra.

A new 50 MP periscope telephoto lens also comes with 5x optical zoom so that shots taken from farther away will be sharper, and the upgraded ultrawide and secondary telephoto lenses all round make photography more enjoyable. S25 Ultra continues to take computation photography to the next level through AI. Its low-light and HDR images now surpass those produced by the S21 Ultra. Battery life of S25 Ultra is the same 5000 mAh that S21 Ultra has but power management is far more effective in this model. This gives much longer hours in a single charge. Wired and wireless charging also happen faster; thus, these users can enjoy faster top-ups. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is a major upgrade from the S21 Ultra, with a brighter display, better performance, a more capable camera system, and improved battery efficiency. The S21 Ultra is still a powerful device, but the S25 Ultra is the latest and best that Samsung has to offer in 2025.
